MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Stephen Ministries St. Louis is to proclaim through word and deed the Gospel of Jesus Christ by nurturing, edifying, educating, and equipping the whole people of God who are called, gifted and sent to be more effective servants who care for the needs of the whole person.

DEFINITION OF THE STEPHEN SERIES OF TRAINING
The Stephen Series is a complete system for training and organizing layperson for caring ministry in and around their congregations.

On April 13, 2002 eight people were commissioned as Stephen Ministers at the 10:20 Mass.  These eight people completed an extensive course that gave them the tools to help people in crisis. If you would like to have someone give you some support in a time of trouble, we are waiting for your call. (Terry, 728-7034 x 306)

Stephen Ministers care for people who are: grieving, in a crisis, in need of long-term care, dying, hospitalized, divorcing, experiencing losses as they age, going though a crisis of childbirth, and the family and friends of people in crisis.
