Sports Programs: After school sports programs, involvement in interscholastic competition, Don Dorman Games, and Jump-for-Heart are offered when there is sufficient student and parental support. Most team schedules can be found at the North County Parochial League website.

Study Trips: Study trips, planned by the teacher, are frequently arranged through the Room Mothers and are financially supported by the parents.  A seat belt per child is required in all vehicles transporting students.  All drivers must submit a copy of a valid California drivers license and proof of insurance to the school office. Permission slips must be signed and returned to the teacher before any student may leave the school grounds to go on a study trip. Students who do not have permission to participate in a specific study trip are expected to attend school during the regular school hours that day and will be given appropriate assignments. No student will be allowed to go on a study trip without a signed permission slip. Verbal or telephone permission by parents or guardians is not acceptable.  Students are required to wear the school uniform on most study trips. In most cases, parents who drive and/or supervise may not bring preschool children.

School Pictures: School pictures are usually taken in the fall each year. An order blank is provided by the photographer and payments are made directly to the company.

Hot Lunches / Milk-Juice Program: Information and costs regarding our hot lunch and milk-juice program will be sent home at the beginning of each school year.

Student Council:  Our students must be taught the principles of self-government if we are going to continue to exist as a democratic society, but, most importantly, they must learn how to govern in a responsible manner. Leadership and the responsibility of citizenship are a very important part of a Catholic education.  Student government is organized and developed so that it not only provides service to the school, church, and community, but also develops responsibility in the students and enables them to become more effective leaders in the democratic process and in Christian Society. Our Student Council is comprised of sixty, seventh and eighth graders with a representative from each grade.  Candidates campaign in the Spring.  Those running for office must meet the requirements as stated in the Student Council Constitution.

Missions:  Students are encouraged to give spiritual and financial support to ministerial organizations such as Operation Rice Bowl, and Holy Childhood Association. During the year various classes will sponsor special projects to assist the needy in the community as well as throughout the world.

Choir:  Each year students (Grades 3-8) may audition to participate in St Peter's Catholic School Choir under the direction of our Parish Music Director.

Altar Servers:  Students who have received Eucharist and wish to be trained as Altar Servers should contact the Parish office.

Liturgies and Religious Celebrations:  The students of St. Peter's Catholic School attend and participate in the celebration of school masses and paraliturgies on a regular basis.  Junior High students attend religious retreats annually.  Outreach programs to the sick and needy of the community are a regular part of our school's philosophy of a Christ-centered discipleship.

After School Enrichment Programs:  The students are offered a variety of programs to enrich their curriculum.  The programs offered vary depending on available instructor, student interest and parental support.  Examples of programs offered are: Toastmasters, Instrumental Music, Art and Nature Club, Newspaper Club, Yearbook Club and Computer Club.
